Potatoes are one of those comfort foods that are quick to make and certainly a crowd-pleaser. This recipe is for homemade potato fries that don't cost much in ingredients and go easy as a side dish with many meals. They only take less than 10 minutes to prep, then you let them sit to marinate for about an hour and then give yourself about 45 minutes to let them bake.

So here’s how to do it :
Preheat oven to 375°
Step one: Clean your potatoes in the sink really scrubbing them to get the dirt off. Once you have washed your potatoes, simply slice them leaving the skin on. Slice in half and then with each of those halves slice them in thirds. One potato makes six wedges.
Step two: Once you have all your potatoes sliced, put them in gallon Ziploc bags. *For a 10 pound bag of potatoes, you will need three Ziploc bags.

Step three: In each of the Ziploc bags, pour 1/3 cup of olive oil, 2 tablespoons seasoning, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon, dried chives, 1 tablespoon salt, and 1 tablespoon oregano. Once you have all of your oil, seasonings and potatoes in the bag, go ahead and seal it up and rub the bag around to coat all of the potatoes evenly. *

Step four: Place marinating potatoes in the fridge for at least an hour

Step five: Place foil onto a cookie sheet and arrange potato wedges upright in rows to bake. Place in a 375° oven for 45 minutes.

Step six: Once potatoes are golden brown on the top, they are done. Serve either in a bowl or on a platter with or without toppings. I like to add some more fresh chives and more salt if needed.
That’s it! Easy Peezy!
Now I have listed the alternative if you're in a bind to the Kinders Seasoning, but it is worth buying to have on hand. It's a great go-to seasoning to add to steak or chicken as well.

There are so many times I have been overwhelmed with just all the things that daily life and a family call on me for and trying to come up with something to bring to a party becomes a stressor. I have looked at and on occasion made overly complicated recipes when in reality sometimes the good and simple comfort foods are the best. I might’ve been there, I might know that.
