When it comes to the holiday meal, these homemade rolls I make every year. This is a fail proof recipe that pretty much anyone can make. When the sign-up goes around for a Friendsgiving or your extended family get-together, sign up for making these homemade rolls. They are simple and definitely a crowd pleaser. Rolls just taste so much better when they are homemade. This recipe is so good and the rolls come out so fluffy.

I have made a video tutorial to show you the steps:
(this is also good for a laugh as I recorded it in fast mode to make it a quick 3 minute video so I totally sound like Minnie Mouse)
I will attach a free printable recipe here so you can either screenshot it or print it out:

As with most things that are homemade, you do need some planning ahead. Make sure in advance that you have good yeast that hasn’t gone bad, as well as the other items that you need for the recipe.

You will also need to make sure to plan your time accordingly. The recipe is so easy to make, but you need to allow the dough time to sit and rise. Having the dough rise, makes all the difference.

Once the dough is made, simply put the whole dough ball in a bowl and cover it with a light napkin or lightweight dish cloth and allow it to rise for an hour in a warm spot.
Then once it has risen, take the dough and divide it into 4 individual rolls and roll it out into a circle. I then use a pizza cutter to divide the circle into equal parts that you can then roll into your cute individual roll.
Here's what that will look like:

Then, just bake and get ready to serve them.

Make sure you have a large bowl with a pretty holiday towel at the bottom to allow enough space to display the roles as well as keep them covered and warm before dinner is served.

If you’re in a bind, I totally get where grabbing a bag of rolls at Costco does work. But I will say these rollls are what I get asked to make because they’re so so good. Take the time to make them and your guess will appreciate it. Trust me, I have been there, and I do know that.
Xo,
Mama
