How to know what side the gas is on

OK this is a quick tip for you new drivers as well as for all you seasoned drivers. I honestly did not learn this life hack until I was in my late 30s. When you are driving someone else’s car, a rental car, or are filling up a car that you are not used to and you have no clue what side the gas tank is on when you go to fill up here is how you know which side to pull in at the pump.

When you look at the gas gauge on the dashboard, there is a little picture of a gas pump and an arrow pointing to the left or to the right. That arrow is telling you which side the gas pump is on. this is what it looks like:

So that’s it. This was just a super quick tip and life lesson so that you are not that person that pulls into the gas station gets out and fines that you were at the wrong side of the pump. You just need to see it once to have your own "Ah ha moment". Trust me, I might’ve been there, I might’ve done that.
