Nothing says Halloween like a good old witches hat. The quick and easy costume for moms and others to just put on a hat, a black outfit and cackle your way through the evening. However, I do love a good witches hat for Halloween decor.

I’ve used the same witches hats for so many years to add a fun flare to my outdoor Halloween decor. Such as on the ceiling above my outdoor front porch bed swing. I simply adhered some hooks to the ceiling (If you don’t want to use the kind with little screws, command hooks were great), then simply take witches hats and at the top point use a needle and some clear fishing line to string the hats up. I did this once and left the fishing line in it so that I wouldn’t have to do it again the following years. Here’s how it turns out:

Another use it to add them to cafe lights! Super simple and again, I keep the fishing line on them for the next year.
I love the look that the witches hats add to the outdoor decor, but let’s not forget about inside as well. By simply placing a witches hat on a statue or a pot, it gives a little bit of flair that doesn’t look cheesy to your inside Halloween decor. Here’s the statue I like to put it on up in my mantle. When this statue base doesn’t have a hat on it, it does have greenery. This one I bought at anthropology, but you could also buy it here on Amazon:

So next time you see a great deal on a bunch of which is hats, go ahead and grab them. They’re the decoration that is fun to use your after year and also stores flat again for that easy storage that isn’t bulky that is just important. I’m a firm believer in making sure you’re not buying things that are really big to store as storage fills up quickly. These witches hats are the great for a big impact with a small budget and little storage space. I might have been there, and I know that.
